Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 August 2026
This policy describes how Tabletop (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website at https://www.playfree.party/ (the “Site”). Tabletop is a free collection of card and board games that you can play in your browser.
Information we collect
We collect the following kinds of information:
- Usage and device data. Pages and games you open, approximate duration, game outcomes, and similar events. We also store a random player identifier in your browser so we can tell return visits apart without knowing who you are.
- Account data (optional). If you create an account, we store your email address, a hashed password, and the display name you choose. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account ID and, when Google provides them, your email address and name.
- Multiplayer data. If you play online, we process your display name, room/session identifiers, and game moves so the match can run. Chat messages in a table are delivered to the other player in that session.
- Feedback. If you submit a bug report, we store the message and any name you include.
- Local game state. Your browser may keep sound preferences and a short snapshot of the current game so you can continue after a refresh.
How we use information
We use this information to operate and improve the games, keep multiplayer sessions in sync, remember your display name across devices when you are signed in, understand which games people play, show advertisements, and respond to feedback. We do not sell your personal information.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to measure visits and in-game events (for example, starting or finishing a game). Google may process IP address, device and browser information, and cookies or similar identifiers on our behalf. See Google’s privacy policy.
Advertising
We use Google AdSense (publisher ID pub-3739348419022073) to show ads. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including ads based on your visits to this Site and other sites. Ads may appear on the home page and at natural breaks after a game; we do not show ads over an active table.
You can opt out of personalized Google ads at Google Ads Settings, and learn more at Google’s advertising policy and www.aboutads.info.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this Site or other websites.
Accounts, sign-in, and our game server
Optional accounts and online multiplayer are handled by our game server, hosted on Google Cloud. Account records and session data may be stored in Google Cloud (including BigQuery). Google sign-in is provided by Google Identity Services; we only request the profile information needed to create or link your Tabletop account.
Cookies and local storage
The Site uses browser cookies and local storage for analytics, advertising, sign-in, a random player ID, your display name, sound preferences, and saved game progress. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; some features (ads measurement, staying signed in, remembering a name) may not work if you do.
How we share information
We share information with:
- Google — Analytics, AdSense, fonts, optional Google sign-in, and cloud hosting.
- Other players — your display name, public game actions, and table chat when you play multiplayer.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the Site and its users.
Children
The Site is a general-audience games collection and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Retention
Analytics and advertising data are retained according to Google’s settings for our accounts. Account, session, and feedback data are kept while the account or service is active and for a reasonable period afterward so we can operate and debug the Site. You can delete local storage in your browser at any time. To request deletion of an account on our server, contact us.
Your choices
You can play most games without an account. You may decline optional cookies in your browser, opt out of personalized ads as described above, sign out, or stop using the Site. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold. Contact us to make a request.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
